Prisma professional cooking suite in the ADI Index selection

Prisma redesigns professional kitchens with a project by Franco Driusso that optimises the work of the staff, with a particular focus on technology and hygiene.



Not a product, but a real concept. Prisma cooking suite is the key tool around which the entire kitchen area of a restaurant is developed. Therefore, it can be designed in every detail to fit the surrounding space and the needs of the kitchen staff. The layout of areas, appliances and compartments may indeed be arranged differently to optimise the work flow and speed up the service. Its core is always stainless steel, chosen for its properties of resistance and hygiene. Its design is sharp, light, elegant and conceived by Franco Driusso to revolutionise the aesthetics of those technical areas that are often left open, directly facing the room.

In detail, Prisma Cooking Suite is made of a solid self-supporting AISI 304 stainless steel structure that is framed – in a flow with the sides – by a reinforced top just 5,5mm thick, folded like a sheet in a 50mm edge. The handles on the dashboard, as well as the cooking equipment, are flush mount with the structure to limit the accumulation of dirt and make cleaning operations easier. For the same reason, all the compartments – open or with hinged doors – are rounded on the inside and free of corners. A bridging superstructure welded to the kitchen and with a grilled top completes the aesthetics of the suite, providing support and storage space for useful equipment.

Induction, fryer, cooking pan, smooth or ribbed fry top, Bain Marie, pasta cooker, hood: all the best technologies for professional catering can be custom-integrated into Prisma designs. Finally, at the chef’s discretion, the compartments can accomodate refrigerated bases, hot holding cabinets or warming compartments to warm dishes.

Through this project, Prisma has reinvented a product that is commonly thought as always identical, while maximising its performance and hygiene. For this reason the Cooking Suite has been selected to become part of the ADI Index 2023 and compete for the next Compasso D’Oro.
