Three cylindrical shapes with different aesthetic signatures: Mercy, Tao, and Hug are Kreoo’s freestanding washbasins designed by Christophe Pillet, Marco Piva, and Matteo Nunziati respectively.
They are united by a common fil-rouge, such as the contamination between marble and metal, or wood, the concrete attention to avoiding waste, and the valorization of stone with relief textures. The designers have declined it differently, creating unique collections, that become the protagonist of the bathroom space.
Mercy turns the sink into a stone décor. Carved from a single marble block, its surface is engraved with a weave of leaves, curls, elegant fans, and vegetal-inspired motifs. Classical reminiscences and memories of distant territories echo in Mercy. Christophe Pillet enhances marble through a chisel surface and a smooth upper band, in a matt finish. Emperador Light, Bianco Carrara, Crema Marfil, and Bianco Perla are the material proposals to customize the collection.
The decoration becomes more minimalistic in Tao, designed by Marco Piva. A thin brass line crosses the cylindric shape vertically, while a second horizontal one, in the same finish, creates a precious warp. This design solution allows working with smaller marble blocks, optimizing its use. The stone matt finish shows a silky effect – in every of the ten material options eligible from the catalogue – still in the washing area, where the metal strip elegantly traces the basin diameter.
Designed by Matteo Nunziati, the Hug collection embraces two materials – natural stone and wood – creating a rhythm of solids and voids that defines its aesthetics. The freestanding washbasin features a semicircular marble cover that wraps the cylindrical block back and crowns it with the basin. The front part – customizable in Eucalyptus Frisé or Walnut – has open and closed compartments to place towels and accessories.
