Situated in Via Savona 33, in a former hat factory in the heart of the Tortona district in Milan, you can find the Home of PresentFuture, a real house with design solutions that matches the desires of contemporary families. It is a living space animated by talks on the newest domestic environments, round tables and workshops open to professionals and non-professionals, to adults and kids.
Moments of creativity, games and interaction among family members can be stimulated by a plurality of occasions, objects, surfaces or even by the composition of the space in which they live. These dynamics can accelerate the growth processes not just of the little ones but also of adults. Adults are the real engine of the Playful Home, a project that will be displayed at Milan’s Fuorisalone from September 5th to the 10th and organized by the multidisciplinary team of The Playful Living.
The Playful Home is a place to live and discover, designed for a fictional couple and their three kids who are respectively 1,4 and 12 and for those friends and relatives who gravitate around the household. The project, recreated in a 220m2 loft inside a former hat factory in Via Savona 33 (Tortona area, Tortona Rocks district), intends to present an idea of living flexibly and concretely and the same time. Furnishings, accessories and services incentivize those virtuous relationships that promote a correct development: sustainability, wellbeing, biophilia, creativity and a certain attitude towards irony and playfulness.
The space will be livened up not only by design products, toys, games and plants but also by a vast program full of events –accessible on www.theplayfulliving.com – on multiple topics linked to families and the evolution of their living spaces. Together with experts and opinion leaders, we will organize talks, round tables and events open to a professional and non-professional audience. For the little ones, we have organized numerous creative labs for the whole duration of the Milan Design Week.
The Project The Playful Home- The Home of PresentFuture, is implemented in collaboration with the CILAB (Creative Industries Lab) from Milan Politecnico, with the International Master in Design for Kids and Toys by Poli.Design and the magazine Style Piccoli that perfectly marries the core values and the innovation ethos of the project.
