Fine materials, custom-made furnishings, attention to detail. These are the characteristics that define the interiors of Oceania Vista, the new ship by Oceania Cruises, the world’s largest luxury cruise company owned by Norwegian Cruise Line. A tailor-made project born from the collaboration with Studio DADO and Marine Interiors, an international reference in the design, construction and supply of turnkey solutions in the naval interior sector.
Conceived to accommodate 1200 passengers and 800 crew members, Oceania Vista is an eclectic universe filled with cultured quotes, with a variety of stylishly different environments. The Waves restaurant, for example, recalls relaxing seascapes with tiles and display cases in shades of light blue and counters with relief textures reminiscent of sea waves. The Martini Bar, instead, located on the deck, recalls the sophisticated jazz atmospheres with precious materials like glass and marble, mirrored walls, Art-Deco geometrical patterns and a palette with black and white contrasts as well as green and purple touches. Finally, the Grand Dining, the main dining room on board, has been dressed in muted hues, plant-inspired décor and timeless materials such as wood and marble.
A multifaceted combination perfectly rendered by Prisma, an Italian company operating in the world of collective catering on sea and land, which has designed the self-service counters, the food display cases, the wine displays, the kitchens of the Oceania Vista, as well as the steel parts of the culinary school dedicated to cooking lessons for the ship’s guests.
Thanks to its continuous research and its great industrial know-how developed over more than 40 years of history, Prisma can indeed meet the stringent requirements of the maritime sector, responding to the needs of the ship owners both technically and aesthetically. These are fundamental aspects on a cruise ship where it is vital to provide a top-level service – very quick and for a high number of guests (often more than 5.000 people). While the core of the systems is always in AISI 316 stainless steel, the other elements may be completely customised in terms of materials and finishes to meet any request. Qualities that have made the company an international reference for the most important interior design studios in the maritime sector.
