For the Milan Design week the company based in Friuli will be presenting an addition to its domestic furniture range.
Belonging to the wider Hood collection, which is also available in the lounge chair and coffee table versions, the armchair is reminiscent of the typical style of the 50s – which inspires the whole collection – made over in a contemporary key. Spanish designer Francesc Rifé looked for new expressive languages by trying out alternative combinations for the various volumes of the seat that blend harmoniously while preserving their formal individuality.
The solid coal oak, Siena oak and natural oak wood structure originates from a game of delicate combinations made up of rectangular and round-section elements positioned at different heights and depths. The front legs clasp the padded parts of the structure which are upholstered in fabric or leather and enhanced by decorative stitching. The back cushion – which adds to the product’s beauty – emerges from the structure.
The Hood armchair is Zanette’s new entry for 2021 and embodies the company’s wish to adapt a contract-style product to a domestic setting, perhaps paired with a dining table or as an addition to the sitting room area.
