The Environmental Product Declaration analyzes the performance of calcium sulphate modules of Nesite’s raised floors, throughout their life cycle.

Nesite, an Italian company of raised floors with a strong green character, further enhances the sustainability of its supply chain by obtaining the EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) for all modules with calcium sulphate core, declined in the different finishes available.

EPD is a document, verified by an authorised certification body, developed in accordance with international norms and standards relating to environmental declarations ISO 14025 and EN 15804. The documentation describes the impact on the ecosystem related to the production of a specific product and is supported by the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) analysis, which certifies the virtuous life cycle.

The Nesite calcium sulphate panels have been verified according to the “cradle to gate” model, i.e. from the supply and generation of the material and related energy, to waste management, up to the entire production process, also analysed in terms of atmospheric emissions and verification of the transport systems used. Finally, the disposal of waste and the potential for recovery and recycling of the material used were also assessed.

The decision to obtain the Environmental Product Declaration allows Nesite to communicate to the project market, in a transparent way, the actual sustainability of its supply chain, based on accredited data and assessments. The company already holds the Environmental System Certification (UNI EN ISO 14001), the Quality Certification (ISO 9001) and the FSC® Certification.
