Albed door systems that redefine the concept of paneling

Albed investigates the concept of customizable doors that evolve beyond the theme of openness to fully integrate with the wall.

Being a compartment that allows passage and communication between different rooms, the door can be interpreted as a caesura of the wall’s linearity – maintaining its own individuality – or as a continuous connecting element, capable of perfectly integrating with the interior. Albed explores the different declinations of the boiserie system, and its many possible uses with the Boisé, Integra, Morbida, and Suit collections.

Designed by Bettazzi + Percoco architects, Boisè makes a decorated and flexible panel into a flush-effect hinged element, taking the concept and aesthetics of boiserie in a modern key. This door system creates a striking decorative frame on one or both sides, which amplifies the presence of the opening with geometric and optical patterns or monochromatic solutions, using glass and wood essences.

Developed to perfectly fit into the architecture and solve specific design needs, the Integra collection offers flush-wall casement elements on both sides, capable of reaching the ceiling, in pull and push versions and with installation on masonry or plasterboard. This collection can be customized in a wide selection of materials from wood essences, glass or RAL lacquered according to the customer’s request.

With the Morbida family, Fabrizio Cester rethinks the jamb as an element that has its own plastic identity. At the point where it meets the wall, it bulges toward the door panel with an elegant doming of the aluminum profile, which can be selected in different finishes with a metallic effect or lacquered in RAL colors. The frame can be made in the same shade as the paneling or wall, in direct continuation, or in contrast. The customizable panel can be in glass, wood essences, or gloss and matte lacquers, with openings up to 180° pull and 90° push. Morbida is also sizable in width up to 100 cm (single panel) and in height to reach the ceiling.

Flush hinged with concealed hinges, Next is the collection developed by Albed that combines technical performance and functional design. It is customizable with many different finishes, wood essences, RAL lacquers or glass. In the Boiserie version, Next allows a complete aesthetic-architectural continuity without caesuras with the interior thanks to the possibility of modulating the positioning of the flush jambs. Wall panels can be attached in continuity with the door, creating a boiserie. Available with single, double-hung or fanlight sash, the Next collection is also in Ei30 fire-resistance certified versions, with safety or soundproof glass.

The Suit collection extends to the maximum degree the concept of a door that merges with the interior and evolves into a furnishing complement. It is customizable with ceramic, marble, wood, or any other material surfaces and it features a metal frame, in which a cladding up to 6mm thick can be recessed on both sides. Available in hinged, pivot or pivot system, including floor-to-ceiling, it has specially designed hinges to support the weight of the finish with openings up to 180° pull and 90° push.
