Ten years after its foundation, Abimis opens its first single-brand showroom in Milan. Located in Corso Monforte 16, inside a historic 17th century building, the showroom opens onto its two courtyards, the first with an elegant colonnade marking three sides, the second inhabited by a small, intimate and secret garden. You can see them from the windows that divide up the space, extending across about 90 square meters on the ground floor, and communicating with the pre-existing features. It is from these glimpses that the antithesis between old and new begins, retracing the philosophy of Abimis, with its kitchens that are inspired and renewed starting from tradition. <\/span><\/p>\n

A comparison between the brand’s all stainless steel solutions, for domestic use but with a professional aesthetic and functional heritage, and the original details of the building distinguishes the four rooms. Each one features a collection – Ego, Atelier, Atria and AlterEgo – in an interior designed by Studio Salaris in sandy tones, with textural effect surfaces and original flooring in terrazzo tiles and anthracite painted parquet. <\/span><\/p>\n

Ego occupies the biggest room, the last in the itinerary through the showroom. Abimis\u2019 most representative line is presented in a large island version in hand-orbitally polished AISI 304 stainless steel and ring handles in satin brass, with an integrated snack top, and completed by columns in the same finish with ovens and coffee machines. Accompanying it is a wallpaper with natural tones and a pattern with light circle geometries that evokes the celestial vault, to create a sort of abstract and astral landscape where metal and the innovative aesthetics of the kitchens are perfectly integrated. The lunar atmosphere is accentuated by the large smoked glass suspension lamp, while the vault is treated with a polished earth pink enamel, similar to that of the fa\u00e7ade of the building where the showroom is located. <\/span><\/p>\n

Before Ego is the outdoor model \u00c0tria, in a hall surmounted by a mezzanine with a stainless steel parapet also made by Abimis; the Atelier collection, displayed in a wall block with a mirror finish that reflects the texture of the terrazzo flooring; and the AlterEgo sideboard, at the entrance to the showroom, with doors covered in briarwood and the rounded details typical of the collection that it completes. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>The Abimis brand has developed greatly over this decade and after a first space in Brera, shared with other brands, we are proud of this important step. Abimis Monforte best expresses our philosophy, the balance between historical heritage and cutting-edge design so much so that we wanted to provocatively accompany the inauguration with the slogan \u2018come and discover the kitchen that didn\u2019t exist\u2019. The space is warm, measured, but also in some way \u2018star-studded\u2019 to accompany the monolithic and iridescent image of the kitchens, in their stainless steel composition, which we also wanted to use to create many details\u201d, <\/span><\/i>says Anna Ongaro, at the helm of the brand. <\/span><\/p>\n

Beyond the mezzanine railing, the brand\u2019s production capacity and know-how in bespoke steel working is expressed in a common thread; a large portal covered in this material marks the passage between the entrance and the kitchen display rooms; metal covers protect the technical components for the air conditioning, shelves equip two functional niches, while in the service area, the sink cabinet is made using the same rounded corners for the doors typical of the Ego collection. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>The showroom not only contains kitchens, but also our entire history, linked to our parent company, Prisma, and its forty years of productive competence in the world of professional stainless steel catering. This is why we wanted to use the compositional interior elements and some coating solutions to let people know what we are and what we have always been able to do: transform crude steel into unique, customized solutions, shaped with craftsmanship\u201d <\/span><\/i>concludes Anna Ongaro. <\/span><\/p>\n
